Hi, I'm Aleksandr. I've been working on Pier since December 2025 — an open-source self-hosted PaaS, a lightweight alternative to Coolify, Heroku and Vercel that fits in a single Rust binary and runs comfortably on a $5 VPS.
Pier gives you the same core that heavier self-hosted platforms do — Git-based deploys, 35+ one-click templates, automatic HTTPS, multi-server agents, encrypted secrets, scheduled S3 backups, real-time metrics — without half a dozen helper containers or a separate PostgreSQL just to run the panel.
Every line is public under AGPL-3.0 and will stay that way. The project moves forward thanks to donations and community support: every contribution turns into new templates, integrations and quick bug fixes.
